Hi All,
Quick question.
New wheels arrive this weekend and due to a mix up via shop and me there will be no sprockets on them as I thought I had requested. Any way no problem I happy enough to fit them myself but lack the tools..(no puns cheers!) I was going to just pay the shop to do it but after reading a few threads it sounds like a chain whip and lockring tool would be a good buy for future use. Assuming I may need to tightening things up through useSo to the question.
Firstly is there ways round having to but the specific tools>? screw driver and hammer?
Best place to buy a combined tool? I know hubjub sell a shimano one but looks like its only for 1/8th chains and i will be running a standard chain
Best place to get tools seperate?
any help greatly appreciated
Pye

No to the track ends, again another issue because the back wheel does of a tendency to slip losing the tension in the chain...(it does have forward facing horizontal drop outs) A local store did advise that Would probably manage with the Carlton on outdoor tracks to... i suppose if i do convert with a new fix back wheel I could always ad this to the track frame later on... nothing lost that way, I was only hoping to get a frame anyway, and build it up myself as some parts I already have, crankset etc..

Mansfield has a 'drome... its as close to me as Sheffield I'm half way between each... bout twenty minutes either way... I could live with not going on a track that was the only reason stopping me from converting the exhisting frame to fixed, however the pedal bite on any fast corner is my major concern, the bottom bracket is so low...
Consider me told. shit how to make ya self look a fool in one easy step.
