i have used ball bearings for years.
have also seen a sawn through seatpost. where the saddle was worth far more than the seatpost.

Sawn thro setatpost has really depressed me......

honestly a simple ball bearing and glue work the best.

Edscoble you are no fool so I will try the ball bearing. Do I take it that everyone is using pitlocks, or are you ball bearing the seat tube clamp as well?

I noticed for inner tubes the forum did a bulk purchase. What about the same for these Torx screws?

They only seem to be availible in packs of 100:

You can buy these singly in Clerkenwell screws, but of course now it's been posted on here, at least some of the thieves will start carrying the little kit of bits to undo them. Still it may decrease your chances of it going missing. Also regarding the bulk purchase does anyone know if all seatposts use the same size? My campy Titanium use a 32mm 8M bolt, but I don't know about the others.

there are many precaution to prevent it from getting stolen, the theft take anything with a Brooks logos regardless of the type really, search 'ball bearing', we have a topic about that not long ago.

I am working on something to solve th stolen brooks thing but I will only share it face to face with members I know or trust. One I have finished I'll let you know...

I've got a honey swift titanium, a black swift titanium (oops that one has been stolen) and a white swallow in the box. Just though I'd say that...white swallow in a box. Skully I seem to keep missing you on all the rides . (I'm Dave of Dave and Bruno)
