A few years ago I used to make wooden mudguards from laminated hardwoods that I was selling online and in a few bike shops. Anyway, in a recent clear out I found a whole bunch left over. Some are seconds (they might have a slight twist to them), some have been briefly used, and some are a bit mix and match. I figured I would put them on here to see if there was any interest, maybe they would make good Christmas presents.
They are treated with (many) coats of tung oil, which can be topped up if you like, whenever they loose their shine. I can provide a wee jar of the stuff.
Happy to post at cost (flaps around £3, full sets, £5), Christmas delivery cut off is the 18th . I am based in Brockley (SE London) if you would like to collect/take a look too.
I tend to use velo-orange stays, that are on eBay for around £12. If there is some interest I’m happy to buy a batch and supply at cost.
I will supply nicely laser cut mounting brackets for attaching to brake bridges (will add photos of these options too).
This is roughly what they look like mounted (this is my round-town-retired-mountain-bike-commuter-thing), which would be incredibly ugly without wooden bits:
