Lots of areas now insist on waste tanks to be fitted. In Turkey they apparently check/measure amount of ‘black water’ in your tanks and fine you if they suspect you’ve been pumping overboard. Unfortunately in the uk, you are still allowed to pump shit straight into the sea, pretty much wherever you like.

Are the current owners going to deliver to Singapore for you or have you got to move it from Phuket yourself?
Edit - just re-read, you will collect from Langkawi, exciting!
Check Cornell’s sailing atlas when doing your passage plan - very helpful reference guide with historical weather and swell data -

Not sure - may well sail to Corsica this summer, will see how it goes.
Was going to sell, but as last summer’s trip was so enjoyable I really fancy another season in the Mediterranean.
Currently planning on moving from the winter mooring back to the Etang mid March. I have a lift out booked at a boatyard there for the end of March and will look at spending a couple of weeks on the hard to get some essential jobs done.
What needs doing:
A scrape of the hull, paint and anti-foul.
Repair one of the rudder pintles. There is a bit of play in the rudder and three years of gentle knocking has worn away part of the bottom pintle.
Get some bushings made to reduce future play.
Repair a small section of toe rail, strip toe rail and repaint.
Strip and paint deck,
Varnish hatches.
Fit an electric bilge pump for next winter.
Possibly strip and revarnish mast, depending on how much time I have. If I do take the mast off, might look at replacing the standing rigging.
If all goes well and I have a good summer with some money left in the cruising pot, I might go through the canal du midi in the autumn. I cycled it last September as far as Bordeaux and it looks lovely. Slightly scared of it when it turns into the Garonne - largest estuary in Europe or something, lots of tide! -

Small ships register? Afaik, they didn’t ask for any proof other than proof of ownership when I registered puffin. It’s a bit of a nonsense bit of paper tbh but it pleases the French marinas and harbour masters
