That's great, thanks so much gabe. Funnily enough that was the shop that mentioned to be me about the danger of it, did feel that was nicely honest.
Did they also give you a warning on your bike? Just wondering if mine is particularly dangerous case or they were just erring on the side of caution with their warning. This was a while back now, few years ago
Also - I assume theres no guarantee on this process? Like if theres damage you just have to pay the fee and have a cracked frame?

I have a 2012 bike with a nice steel frame, but unfortunately the seat post has been seized for quite a few years now.
I remember speaking to someone who believed it was possible to try and remove the seized seat post, but it would be at a risk of cracking the frame.
I'm at a point now where i'd like to follow this up and potentially give this a go, as the saddle really is too low for me at the moment.
As its potentially risky - does anyone have any suggestions for who to carry this out ? I feel like its worth going to someone trustworthy with a bit of experience who might approach it with some sensitivity
Any suggestions appreciated.
OK great cheers, will go in and ask them
