There are still some places available if you would like to support this fantastic charity.
If you have requested a place and haven't had a reply back, please check your junk folder as emails for .org charity email addresses can often be filtered there! If you still can't find the reply - post a message on here and I will be able to help you

Lyme Disease Action has some charity places available if you didn't get a place in the ballot and would still like to take part. Email:
Fundraising@LymeDiseaseAction.org.uk
Or if you have a place already and would like to fundraise for LDA please email us about it!LDA is run entirely by volunteers, so anything you can do to help would be very welcome! The charity raises awareness about the disease by distributing leaflets and also by funding research.
Lyme disease is spread by the bite of an infected tick, and if not recognised and treated early can lead to very debilitating symptoms. If you are bitten by a tick, see LDA's website for more information:

Hello Josh012,
That is why LDA exists - to raise awareness amongst the public and also the medical profession as well so that patients can get the treatment they need as soon as possible.
Be tick aware - check for ticks if you sit on grass and remove them promptly and in the correct manner (see the website above) and then you are much less likely to get infected - not all ticks carry Lyme disease so if you are aware that is the key!
So enjoy your cycling - LDA has places for the event because you don't have to be afraid of exercising and cycling - just be aware.
