I don't live in London...

Now done about 150 miles on this and liking it. About 50 miles were on the new saddle and happy with the look and comfort as I expected to be.
Here I am out for a ride with my wife, the exact reason I needed this bike, or so I explained to her. Not sure how to justify the next one yet...
I need to find some pics of this when I'm next at my mum's house. 531 obv and It was bright yellow, had chrome ends, red box lining, really fine lugs and the most amazing rear drop outs I've ever seen, lovely! Also it was from the time before CB were owned by Holdsworth. Unfortunately those fine lugs were it's demise, they started to crack and weep rust! My dad took it to the dump...
Any pics I find will however be in black and white haha.
Only just noticed this was aimed at me, I'm new here (and obv a bit slow). Shame there's no "like" button or similar.
Oh thanks for the explanation, that's made it clear that despite the colour coordination I obviously need to try harder!
Sounds like you're enjoying life to me haha!
I also ride fixed most days and usually one ride fixed and one geared.
I first rode fixed when I did a paper round at age 12 on my mother's old Claud Butler time trial bike.
I didn't have a fixed gear bike again until 2001 (converted old 531 road frame) and recently bought another (track frame).
Yeh I'm sure you're right, but to me flats will always be a hybrid and risers a Raleigh Shopper, so just no for me.
Haha I almost got it (crank) right on some of the photos didn't I?
Anyway how does that Concept stay up? This is me doing that wrong again...
I've only just seen this thread thanks to @funky_d, I have two fixed bikes, a Roberts 531c road frame converted to single speed fixed with front Shimano brake. It actually has full braze ons for brakes and front & rear gear mechs as well as mudguard eyes. Can only get 23c tyres on with guards fitted.
Also not quite fitting due to the lack of brake hoods is my current latest project Bianchi Super Pista...https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/364706/
Thanks @funky_d, I do feel like I'm getting there! I wasn't sure about the Celeste tape either, but as most of it is black I think it works.
I toyed with hoods for comfort but will stick with the little lever for a different look to all my other bikes at least for now. Also I will only be likely to ride a max of about 25 miles as I got this to use when riding with my wife as she is slower than me and riding fixed gives me more of a work out (while looking cool haha). I may have been on this forum for 10 days, but failed to spot the road fixed thread so thanks for the tip haha.
I like the deep section rim look, but couldn't run without a front brake, I just wouldn't feel safe really. Call me wimp if you like...
