I also know where it is but don't want to hog the thread.
Um... Did I just murder this thread? Answer to clue was rodney dangerfield "rodney" being the name to focus on.
This part of Edinburgh shares it's name with an American actor/comedian that could never get any respect.
Seafield bowling club in the Leith links.
Bike sold. and I got more than I was asking for.
I'm not hell-bent on breaking the rules.
I just find it funny how there's a "don't press the red button" rule immediately followed by " but if you want to press the red button here is how you do it"
it's similar to "if you kill a deer driving your car you can't take it home and eat it. but the car behind you can"
"You can't post a link here, but someone else can post your link here".
why the extra bit at the end?
i'm not trying to be an asshole. just trying to wrap my head around it.
thanks for understanding
I think my point was what proof do we have that every post on here (past, present and future) that was "discovered" and link shared wasn't posted on a friends behalf.
it's a flawed rule. if folk can't post ads then they can't post ads full stop. why the other bit?
like I said I'm new here.
I found the rules.
"No cross-posting adverts you've put on other sites. If you have an item for sale anywhere other than here, like ebay, bikeradar, ctc, retrobike, etc. then you cannot post it here. However, if you have posted it on one of those other sites, other people who have discovered it are allowed to post it in the eBay/Craigslist finds thread. You must not do this yourself."
strangely if I get a mate who is also a member on here to "discover" the gumtree link themselves and post it on here that's cool? (which wouldn't be on my behalf BTW)
