Lifelong cycling fan - road, MTB, fixie - sometimes in lycra, often in jeans. Across mountains or across town, some rides end with an energy drink, lots end with a beer!
Date is finally out, BUT this year it is basically a 65 mile sportive for Just 500 riders with no accompanying festival although they are piggybacking with Peakender, a local beer festival - shame!
Eroica bike sorted, thanks @Jingle_Jangle!
It seems the ride is on but just got an e-mail this morning and it is a much reduced event with no accompanying festival and only one ride option with a maximum of just 500 riders. It is a great shame as the full weekend event has been getting better each year. They promise a bigger event next year - details here.....
I'm interested! Please can you send driveside photos with close-ups of chainset, derailleurs, and brakes. Is it rideable now or is work required just to get going?
If it hasn't gone yet, what is your final best price? I am guessing it is not £150!!
Is Eroica on this year? It all seems a bit ambiguous. Great event in 2018. I rented an old George Elworthy bike for the ride which was lovely but expensive. I would be interested in buying something interesting for around £450. I am 6'2" with 34" inside leg so a reasonably large beast is required.
That's why I'm here!! Thanks for the feedback.
State are American with big bucks behind them, as far as I can tell Foffa have gone bust.
I don't work for them but am involved with the business.
