Just went through the whole tread! What a story. Great bikes, really love the Trek multitrack, there's nothing more good looking than nitto bars and a lovely quill.

    Thanks for updating

Yeah, Im upset, but the saddle to bar drop would be insane or the stem would be insane so I decided to let it go.

    Hi All,

Picked this up off here about 2 weeks ago, but unfortunately won’t fit me as well as I had hoped.

The paint is beautiful (lovely green sparkle), but it’s got a decent amount of surface rust around wherever anything was mounted, a bit on the HT and some around the lower of the fork legs. Some of the paint has been sanded back on the forks.

Comes as a frame, fork and headset, Brakes, wheels, etc. are not included.

    Sizing is roughly:

    Seat tube c2t: approx 54cm
    Top tube c2c: approx 55cm
    Seat tube c2c: approx 53cm

The original seller reckoned you could get 30's in there, but I don’t have a 700c wheelset to check. I paid £100, which I think is fair, would love to get that back. If your keen on the brakes (Tektro 539's) I got them off Planet X last week for £32, and then immediately scratched the rear one, so they could be included for an extra £25, but I also don’t mind keeping them.

Photos are here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/pfFWyqoSnspdAi6V7 All photos but the last are from the original seller, last was my trying out 650b wheels.

I’m in North West London but happy to meet up within reason. Can post, but would prefer not to.

    Thanks,

I’ve been riding this bike over the last 6 months, including a tour around Devon. It has the following problems:

-Adding a massive ring to the chainstays was a bad idea, the gear cable gets hung-up on it all the time and gives miss shifts
-The rim flex's enough that it scraps on the ring
-There’s way too much flex in the frame to have this bike heavily loaded in the rear. With a topeak explorer rack, tent on the top with two panniers on the sides, it was wiggling all over the place. That on its own doesn’t bother me that much, but I feel its shortening the life of the frame more seriously than I already have.
-I never got around to painting it at all, and the fresh sea air wasn’t kind to the exposed steel. Not too bad, but now requires more effort than a quick sand down and rattle can.

Since having it with flat bars, it was cool to cruise around on, and reasonably comfortable, but I wanted to give it a whirl with drops, so that’s what I did:
