@pompy Do you have any links for the event? Or has this already happened?
I'd be up for some group ride, but probably won't be able to do any long distance for another month since I'm recovering from the knee injury.

    Definitely up for it!
@jdmitch I'd be glad to help if you need it. Fresh member of this forum, but would like to get more involved.

Ok...took the alternative route. But managed to finish 100miles.
Because it got dark, and I didn't feel safe cycling in the Surrey countryside, I took a train back to East Croydon and completed mileage left in London. I forgot to turn off Strava in first couple of kilometers of train rride, so max speed spikes at 120km/h :)

PS that's the reason I couldn't join todays ride. My knees are sooo sore

    Thanks for suggestions.

I've got some clip on mudguards (yes, bikes come with mudguard eyeylets, but not with mudguards)
    Two spare tubes
    Patch kit
Wrench and allen keys of appropriate sizes for basic stuff
Reflective vest (plus couple of those reflective stips that you put around your legs)
Some decathlon energy gels (Will add some protein bars).
Long sleaved base layer, and padded cycling tights

Not yet completely sure what I'm going to bring food wise. I was planing on bringing some peanut butter sandwiches (maybe something with some dairy based spread and some meat), and a banana or two.

I've not yet fitted watter battle cage, but I have Decathlon near my place, so I'm just gonna add one, as carrying water in backpack is not that convenient :D

    Any suggestions are welcome...

Anyone up for doing this route https://www.strava.com/local/uk/london/cycling/routes/122 on Sunday 24th of December?

I've got into cycling fairly recently (about 8 months ago), and into fixed gear even more recently (about a month and a half ago). I've done metric century on SS, but as I have no plans for Christmas, I'm gonna try and do a proper century on fixed gear. My condition is not too perfect, so this is not going to be a really fast ride, but I'm fairly confident I will be able to finish it. Also my bike is not one of the best. Think you guys already took a crap on NoLogo bikes, but after cleverly buying on with not much research I'm stuck with it until spring. I can't complain on it as it's been serving me quite well. Got 3000km with it since I've got it. At least now I know that proper and a bit more expensive bike would be worth it and it's not just gonna sit there without being ridden, cause i'm using current one every single day.

Hey all... You'll have one newbie joining.

Just recently got into cycling and even more recently into fixed gear. That means this is my first winter here for cycling :D
So glad I've found this forum...
    Peace out...
