Actually the bmx bar makes a small frame useable for me, I do have the original 531/501 stem and bars for if it goes back to an mtb, Really could do with a layback seatpost if it stays this way, as you can see the seat tube is quite upright, part of the design for the shorter customer it was aimed at originally...... the designers later went on and became islabikes.

This came to me recently, In a right state and a bit on the small side so thought I would have a bit of fun and go Bmix on it, sadly the sachs stuff had been breaking down in the sun for the past 20 years or so, so fitted some bits n bobs from the shed.

    Zinn Classic

Couple of clearcoats, got to go careful with paint pens as too much and it'll run the colours out.

Lots of lovely bikes here since my last post....

    Heres another of mine

Zinn 'Flowers' jo burt tribute, yes the man who brought us all Mint sauce the mountain biking sheep from the MBUK mags

531 frame, 753 fork, Magura, Deore XT, Campagnolo rims and white onza porcupine tyres.

Picked up a 531 Zinn centaur last year and decided to build myself a Jo Burt tribute build as seen in the MBUK mags bitd with mint sauce, couldn't afford myself a 753 frame but it would be hard to tell if you didn't know the subtle differences.

Gave it a coat of white and painted on the flowers as close I could to the original.

Found out some old XT and maguras, nos campagnolo rims and finally the white onza porc tyres to finish it off.

    Pic from MBUK 1990

It's a Zinn Centaur, being transformed into a tribute of the long lost Jo Burt Zinn that was featured in the mbuk mint sauce/Jo Burt interview.

One from the back of the shed

    Araya, Circa 1983 ......

This is basically the prequel to the muddy fox era, or should I say this is what muddy fox bought in and stickered up as their own.

Nice riding bike but need to find an original rear derailleur to make it whole again.

    One from the outhouse.....

Marin Bear Valley 1989, with mountain LX groupset only available that one year, found the frameset online and sourced the groupset bit by bit until it was a bike once more
