Cool kid points, you’re missing all the cool kid points.

Honestly I kinda feel the SLX is the no-mans zone between Deore and XT. Deore works well enough and XT has the bling bits. Spend money on XT or save it and ride Deore.

I found the Lizardskin tape very slippery in the rain.

Initialing someone with a double barreled surname, would you go:

    A. B-C.
    A. B.-C.
    A B C
    A B-C

    Or something else?

I use ADB, if that confusing those are my initials.

Nope just Norfolk, Man, and somewhere in North York. I always assumed flint just looked like chert in its natural state.

    Nope, not an archeologist.
flint arrow heads are common enough in the American Midwest, as a kid I’d visit family in Kansas and go looking for fossils and we’d sometimes find arrowheads and scrappers along creek beds. My dad found some flint scrappers in Glastonbury in the late 80s.

Currently with mail order/internet purchases the retailer has to have a physical presence in the state that the item is being shipped to for the retailer to collect taxes for the state that the item is being shipped to. This is changing in the near future due to a court decision a year ago. Some companies, like Amazon have been collecting sales tax for a few years now. International sales will not be including state sales tax because the destination is not a US state.

So If I purchase something from say California shipped to Boston I’ll be paying .0625 sales tax, someone in NYC will be paying both NY .04 and NYC .045 sales tax, if it was shipped to New Hampshire there is no sales tax ‘cause NH doesn’t have sales tax.

I have yet to see anything purchased from outside the US get a sales tax added and in general I get VAT removed.

    That’s a fairly new frame.

Us price is $350 so about £280. Online purchases with tax are convoluted in the US. Basically it’s if the company had an office in the state it’s being shipped to you pay taxes.

Well fuck. It’s often cheaper for us to order stuff from the UK then it is to order from websites in the US. If anyone wants a Beacon I’ll stuff my bag when I’m flying to Cambridge in Sept.

Wait are beacons really £380? That’s £100 more then in the US.
