Cheers, took some dialing in but runs ok without rubbing. Front is tight but a rubber spacer and daruma bolt took care of that. Rear guard sits high on the chain stay bridge and scope to dimple was limited. Restored a Raleigh Clubman using the 45mm Velo Orange hammered guards which were much easier.

Thank you! They are Honjo mudguards. Managed to shoehorn the fluted hammered 41mm type over 32c tyres which took some fettling.

The northroad bars are comfy but it's a very upright position. Got the sweep so I can fit a baby seat on the front.

Upside down and back to front, like a retro shifter and brake set up.

This thread has provided some great inspiration. Thanks everyone for posting your projects. Needed a dad bike for nursery and wanted to test out a dynamo. Made commuting a lot easier. Testing out thumb friction shifter Rivendell style which should make things easier.

Excellent thank you, will get a 4.5mm bolt ordered and will report back.

Hi all, re-using an original shimano down tube clamp to hold a shifter cable boss.

The original lever bolts fit but look cludgy when used to retain the shifter cable boss.

Tried flange head M4 and M5 bolts but one is too narrow, the other too wide. Expect original is an imperial bolt as it measures 4.3mm at widest point. Does anyone know if there is an imperial standard used as keen to hold it in place with a dome head bolt that will sit tighter to boss mount guide & cover.

    Cheers
