I'm curious as to whether that means that 2/3 have just not applied at all or they've tried to and have been told there aren't enough records to support their application and they've given up? My wife moved to London in 2013, immediately got a NIN and started working but when she applied for settled status this year the Home Office claimed they had no record of her residing here until 2016 so that she didn't have the necessary 5 years to be eligible. Luckily she always keeps meticulous folders of documents so she was able to upload them proving she was around in 2013/14/15, they reviewed it and granted settled status but I can imagine some people would just be like 'oh fuck this'.

It's gone past assault into battery since he laid hands on you; I think you're well within your rights to make a fuss and personally would not regret mentioning the knife at all if I was in the same situation.

The "Trainpal is an absolutely SICK app" ad 'star' has me trying to press the skip button the first nanosecond it's available. Upon checking he's some ballbag Youtuber who made his name pulling annoying pranks so that makes sense.

I have a friend who turns the toilet paper around every time she uses our bathroom so the free end is near the wall (AKA the wrong way). She doesn't do it to annoy me, she just thinks she's right and that everyone else should fall in line. At this point it just makes me laugh.

Hate dealing with other people's weird delusions, especially when they get me in trouble. We have an ancient Nokia phone in the drawer we're always supposed to keep switched on and plugged in so if anyone needs to call or text in an emergency they will have one number that'll always be answered. My colleague has this idea that the cleaner will break open the locked drawer to steal the phone if they see the cable or hear the ringtone going off when we're not here, so she repeatedly unplugs and turns off the phone when she leaves. No idea why she thinks the cleaner will either bring in a prying bar or develop beast mode strength in order to steal a £10 phone but she is generally mistrustful like that. Meanwhile I get told off when someone's trying to get through and just gets voicemail in the morning.

Perky Blenders make a point that their coffee packaging is biodegradable (once you cut the plastic valve out and recycle it) and I'm pretty sure last time I got an order from them it arrived in an ordinary cardboard box, no padded envelope like Hasbean use. Not sure Monmouth do offer a subscription but their mail order packaging is pleasingly all card/paper as has been said.

(I do think that the bags Hasbean use if you're just getting one bag of coffee at a time are recyclable plastic by the way, but if you get more than one at once they switch it to the padded plastic/paper envelope.)

Expensive for sure, but if they taste good I'd be willing to buy a few sachets to take camping if it was just for a short break (I think more than 5 nights I'd blanch at the cost).

Interesting, wonder if the US premium instant companies are looking to expand into Europe and we'll see more collaborations like that?

Intense arguments over the air con today. One guy is too cold (it's 37°C, fuck off) while his main opponent is, to be fair, wearing the same thick wool suit and long sleeve shirt she wears every day and has made no effort to adapt.
