One of many middle aged men in East London.
Nonowt on the Retrobike forum too.
Cool! Thanks, a lot. ...maybe I'll hold on till next month and see what the prices are like then. One more question: would be able to wirelessly sync the Sonos to my Sony tv without a sound bar?
Wondering if it's possible to run Wi-Fi/Bluetooth speakers off my late 1970s amp? I'd like to be able get a wireless speakers so we can listen (to CDs/LPs) in other rooms without running wires everywhere. The amp is an A&R Cambridge A60 which was modified for RCA cables.
Could I run something like a Sonos Connect via the tape deck ports /connection and sync a Sonos speaker to that?
I spoke to a guy in Richer Sounds but he suggested I'd need a new amp and within minutes we'd gone from a few hundred quid to a grand...
Just found this lovely build thread - Any more developments?
Autocorrect could save someone more than a few quid on this mispelt Ephgrave with the cheaper (at the time) but lesser seen No.2 lugs. Badged as an FR Russell and pick up only from Walsall.
Nice 1954 claud tandem on ebay at the moment . There's a bit of background history to it over on retrobike too.
Very nice! All looks in great condition too.
Original looking lugless Claud in Birmingham.
Saxon twin tube in Leigh-on-Sea. Same seller also has a lovely Rotrax.
Excellent! Looks a versatile set up - hope you get many miles out of it (starting with a ride back from Wales?!). With the nonstandard sizing it was possibly hand built by Andy Thompson himself. He appears over on retrobike from time to time under the moniker fetch (or something similar).
Your tandem or are you tempted? It'd be a good fit for me and either Mrs Nonowt or Nonowt Jr but alas I can't see them being excited by the idea.
tandem anyone?? 27 1/2" front and 19" .
Has anyone mentioned the giant haystack fire near Hedingham Castle yet? That was pretty dramatic. One classic DD moment was being cheered on by drinkers outside a pub in Tyler's Green one for a car simultaneously sped past in the opposite direction with the driver shouting "wankers!!!!"
