New to me this morning. Two illusive Smiths watches - the white-dial, an a453, was the model used on the Fuchs Antarctic expedition of 1955. Mine is from later - 1958/9 I think. In lovely condition though, so I don't think it ever went to the South Pole! The other is a Smiths A420 - the "Engineers" model. Hard to photograph well, but it has a beautiful petrol blue dial.

I’ve got a mint full-set Timefactors Smiths PRS25 Gilt Dial (Jan 2025) coming in in the next couple of days. Open to trades on interesting things - particularly military, vintage Smiths or Omega or other field/utilitarian watches. More photos obviously available.
