Any cat whisperers here that can offer some advice please?
This is Basil (fat Baz or Bizel in a New Zealand accent), a 10 month old that we got from Cat’s Protection. He’s a lovely natured cat that puts up with my 4 year old daughter terrorising him without ever scratching her.
He is an utter pain at night. Without fail, every night between 3am and 5am he’ll jump on the bed and bite my wife’s nose or wake my daughter up by jumping on her and chewing her hair or something else annoying. This all means that I get woken up too.
He has food so isn’t hungry and his cat flap is unlocked so he can come and go as he pleases. Any suggestions on what’s going in inside his cat head? I thought if we could understand his behaviour we could do something about it. At the moment all I do is put him out and lock his cat flap so he can’t get back in otherwise he’ll come back in, come upstairs and bother someone again. I’ve tried shutting him downstairs & he scratches & bites the door to get out & back upstairs.
