    Yo. I'm here! :)

Yeah, I lived in Kilsyth, just at the foot of the Tak. Totally loved the place. Nurseries were great for the kids. They've just redone the park. There's a nice adventure play park, in the summer they have a wee place with kids bikes and a road layout set up so they can learn. There's trampolines and pitch and putt. Swimming pool is a really good asset close by. The country park is lovely. Really nice walled gardens and plenty for the kids to do.
The band stand in the town is lovely too.

There's an off road commute all the way to the city centre (on the canal). Otherwise best option is to ride up to Croy station for one stop train journey to Queen St. The bus is a bit of a drag, but could be worse considering how far out it is.

The bakery on the High St is banging.

Riding wise. The Campsies are literally on your door step. I really miss Carron Valley. I think the local club have been working on trails around Croy Hill and the Roman fort. On the road, you're spoiled for choice. There's hundreds of miles of really quiet country lanes.

I wouldn't go off the main road on the North side... I went up there one day and in 5 minutes saw a guy walking round a car park smashing every rear window and a guy getting his head smashed in with a guitar... Seems to keep the trouble to the scheme though because the town is always really quiet. Never seen any bother at all.

I'd say go for it. Send me a pm if you want any more info

If anyone wants to get a bit further afield... I'm in Oban now. All are welcome to come stay and see some trails around these parts.... They are aplenty.

    Hey all,

I posted this to the main classified page for visibility but would obviously love if someone closer to home took it off my hands.

    Hi all,

I built this bike for my fiancee, then pregnancy got the better of her and it has sat unused for a while now. Moving house so finances force this sale. The bike has been ridden less than 100 miles. I've just serviced it so it's ready to ride I have priced it to sell quickly so no offers please.

Frame: D'Accordi 52cm. Powder coated sky blue with silver flake. Columbus Aelle or Thron, I forget which I'm afraid. I stripped this frame, removed the braze ons for rear brake, front mech and downtube shifters, I finished these with silver solder and had it powder coated. I didn't get it perfect so the modification is (on very close inspection) visible. It certainly doesn't take away from the overall look of the bike. Fitted with original Campagnolo headset. Freshly serviced with DuraAce grease, new bearings.

Finishing kit: System X High polish seat post. BLB High polish 60mm stem, unbranded 38cm shallow drop handlebars

Wheels H&Son Formation Face rear rim and SL42 front rim built onto BLB track hubs (cartridge bearing) with bladed Stainless spokes in mirror polish finish. These are in great condition. One minor dent in rear rim from a stone flying of the road but only visible on close inspection. Fixed/Fixed hub with 16t & 17t cogs fitted, both showing no signs of wear.

Tyres: Bontrager R3 on front, Schwalbe Lugano on the back

Chainset: BLB Super Pista 165mm arms, 46 tooth chainring showing no signs of wear. All threads in excellent condition.

Front brake. Unbranded High Polish caliper with brand new Dia Compe Dirty Harry

Chain: KMC Kool Chain K710. The bike has been stored in the garage for a while and the damp caused the chain to rust up a bit. I have cleaned this rust as best possible and lubricated it thoroughly but you may wish to change this as it's still a little bit noisy.

I have just fitted a brand new saddle. Black chromo rails. No branding but shaped much like a F'izik and new rubber feel bar tape in black.

    No pedals included in sale

Please feel free to get in touch for more information or more detailed pics.

I am based in Glasgow. Price doesn't include postage. I will make myself available for your courier collection. Bike will be safely packaged in a cardboard bike box with plenty of frame protecting materials.

    Cheers,

    Richard
