I thought I knew it, but the paving threw me off... then I realised that I actually did cycle by last week. Now I'm not going to be there for a couple of weeks.

Never paid much attention to it, I'll have to take a better look!

Not quite old somerfield street - it's apparently part of the Clyde Gateway... Gateway being what Somerfield used to be called.

New tag clue "the younger among you would know it better as Somerfield by the River":

Took way to long to work out what the clue was for this one.

Old tag - Hunterian Museum, "Diagram of an Object" by Dhruva Mistry. Or "Hing ae a thing" as my workmate called it.

Forgot to come back onto write - aside from cutting 10 minutes off my commute (seriously - 1hr down to 50m, managed it in 46m recently!) it has been amazing. Changed the stem for a slightly better fit, new bar tape (shiny blue Benotto that certainly goes with the colours on the bike), new tyres (didn't notice a patch of wear in the rear sidewall until it went pop at 30mph, still good fun!), pedals swapped out, new pads and everything all cleaned and lubed. Not much else needed work, at least not yet. Away for work at the moment so haven't got any pics to post.

I definitely understand why people have called it a stiff ride though. Going from a very forgiving steel frame to the CAAD has been interesting for my backside and hands.

Hope your new place is working out!

Or rather, just down the hill from where Rig used to be. I'll change that to "along the road from the Bike Bunker"

I am! Well, mostly. 2 and a half years in sunny Somerset, but now mainly back in Glasgow (albeit staying a bit further out than I was before). I've been thoroughly enjoying cycling through the city centre again, office is just down the hill from Rig.

A lot has changed in the time I've been away, though moreso outside of the centre. The routes from town out to Cambuslang and Castlemilk are packed with cycle lanes and the sort. Took me by surprise.

    Was it postponed?

Aye, it's a forum extravaganza - I think all of the bits to go on it have come from the old days of the Glasgow Fixed Gear forum. Though it actually doesn't look like it needs much work - brakes and gears felt alright, though the two flats meant I couldn't ride it until I find a couple of correct sized tubes.

    I'll return and post pics.

As I turned the corner onto Ardery, I thought it was gone,
But then lo, what did I see at the end of the street?
    The bike! It was there!
I gave a wave to the nearest close, in the hope that you might be there
and see that it has indeed gone to a good home...
    and then I was away.

User75207, you can be sure that it'll be well looked after. I've got a new commute that's about 15 miles each way, and neither my old Frankenstein's monster of a Raleigh Record nor the fixed gear were cutting it. This will do beautifully.

I'd never heard of the Worker's Theatre, but I see that they just recently started up. I'll find out what's on and go support it (in person as well as a donation on your behalf).

Wherever it is you're off to, I hope it's a good move. If you've ever back and need a bike...
