Hi , thanks for the replies, I want to purchase road bike frame/s..not knowing the transport system ie train, rail..would prefer not to be based in the middle of somewhere with no easy access to public transport.

I have travelled extensively, just never to the UK.
Partly to purchase steel road bike frame/s ..the rest of time is to visit Durham where grandparents were born(deceased).
Do you purchase online, get it delivered to address where staying or physically go to persons home.
For example if bought something on LFGSS..what's the usual way to do this?
Where would you base yourself, re accommodation wise..somewhere central?
Sorry for the dumb questions, trying to plan in advance..Thank you for any replies.

Hi to all, what a great thread..I am from Australia.it very hard to source 62-64 cm road frames here..Plenty of compact cr..p ..
Cost of building new steel road frame..start at $2600..
I buy everything from the UK..its 30 to 40 percent cheaper, quicker to door as well.
After reading the classifieds here, seems to be quite a few frames around.
Has anybody here purchased frames from Holland , Germany and other parts of Europe?
For delivery to UK I mean..
Any advice , tips would be great..it would be cheaper for me to come to UK and purchase 2 or 3 frames ..hence why I asked about the rest of Europe..
Apologies in advance if the reference to UK is wrong..sometimes we aren't the sharpest tools in the shed..
