Rider down on CS1 at the junction with Britannia leisure centre. Didn't see any other vehicle that had stopped. Being treated at the scene, didn't look life threatening. Looked like a middle aged male, but I was at a distance. Fingers crossed.

It's the final week for this consultation. Option 1 would ensure that the Quietway isn't just a single route in that area, but connected to a network of other safe local streets that would make the most of the Quietway concept. Hackney LCC have just put up a post with their response.

There are 2 quite exciting consultations open now - one at the top of Judd St that might mean cyle only coming into Judd St, and one just by Brunswick centre, getting rid of rat run by Coram Fields. Should mean a lot quieter Judd St, and ties in with Tavistock Place, so doesn't look like the council are planning on taking Tav Pl scheme out. Good news, I'd say.

What's the latest here - the extension to the bridge on Lea Bridge Road is now in place isn't it?

Yes 20mph is a positive step esp where it's borough wide (except TfL roads), but even where there are speed cameras the limits are not enforced. Is the next stage not to lobby for proper enforcement of these limits? There could be some leniency for those going a bit over, but clamp down on the ones still going at 40mph.

People seems to have got used to the scheme now and the initial confusion gone. Even the increase in vehicles on Woburn Place seems to have gone now too. The taxi lobby was very vocal about it at the beginning, I’m not sure how ferocious they are now. All in all a really good scheme. Cyclists and non-cyclists are positive about it (admittedly I’ve only spoken to peds rather than car drivers!). I think it’s in for a year trial, but it looks really good.

There’s this site set up to gather support: http://bloomsburycycling.org.uk/
