Epic times again last night on the back straight / track centre.
Laura Trott, Becky James giving the home fans something to celebrate.Even had Ed Clancy in my start gate for the men's team pursuit final.
Cameras crawling all around us, Team GB head mechanic gave me a solid thumbs up before the off. What a final, defening crowd roars with every lap. But well done Australia, deserved winners. -

My spare ticket has gone.
A friend I'd asked ages ago finally said she'd take it, which is pretty cool as she's really excited and has never been to a track event before (and this one will be good).

Team GB almost did it, but Australian guys have been impressive!
I personally think Wiggo wasn't up to the level of the others
-
• #132
Are you having a laugh? He was doing two lap pulls and only Doull could live with him for the whole 4km

watched the Eurosport coverage when i got back in from the weekly Thursday night testosterone fuelled battering.
Wiggo looked OK to me.
but Trott. that is one talented athlete. watch her in the devil/elimination, her positioning and control of the race throughout will be a masterclass. and how she brought back that scratch race with so few laps to go last night was utterly dominating. what a message to send her competitors!
love it.

All the team mechanics on our back straight patch, nodded in agreement/ approval that Laura Trott has great vision and awareness on the track. Whether this is natural ability or training, but teh world Shane Sutton has set up for Team GB appears different from the one created by David Brailsford.
Shame about the emotional comments made by Jess Varnish and Katy Marchant live on air. Let's hope for their cycling careers they learn from yesterday's bitter disappointment. Both have immense talent.

Just watched it. Fuck yeah! Love how the commentary changed through the ride "young team, blah blah". Fucking killed it!

Haha
ALL THE AEROZ!

Exactly that re Trott! Was there last night - her awareness is outstanding, and the way she moves around the bunch to pick wheels was incredible.

• #144
Where are you all watching this?!
-
• #145
Lolz. Did you even watch it?

I mean live coverage - not the highlight stuff the beeb show. I want to see all the sprint qualifiers etc... they only ever show the semi's and final..
-
• #149
eurosport seems to show the most, but not all.

We only ever send our B-team to London, just in case we lose.
That's probably why I'm still here. B-grade. Bastard Grade.
