Dear LFGSS crew,
After the sell out event last summer we thought we'd put together another graveltastic event for 2019 -
AND raise more money for the St Mary's Community Centre N16.
Here's details and tickets: northlondondirt.eventbrite.co.uk
Do message me, or email me: email@example.com with any questions.
NLD II features a brand new seventy (ish) mile route running out of North East London and taking in as many back roads, dirt tracks and gravel paths as we’ve been able to fit in.
It is not a hand-holding sportive, there are no signs telling you which way to go, tables full of battered banana halves and an oversized t-shirt to collect at the end...
...You will enjoy mighty fine coffee (courtesy of Rapha's Spitalfields Clubhouse), a new and unique route AND a quality locally brewed beer waiting for you at the end.
NORTH LONDON DIRT is again raising funds for the New St Mary's Centre in Stoke Newington (that houses amongst other things, the Hackney Night Shelter, the Hackney Migrant Centre and the local foodbank). Since the last event, funding is ALMOST there, and building has started, a real local success story!
Some details here: stmaryscentren16.org
ALL of the proceeds from the event will go to this local charity.
You'll be riding a bike with tyres suitable for road AND off-road - bearing in mind you'd be pushing it a bit with slick narrow tyres on some of the dirt tracks. (We were happiest on over 32mm gravel or 'cross tyres).
You will be totally self-supported, riding with everything you will need to finish a ride of this length - and we'd suggest carrying two spare tubes. We'll send out a gpx and tcx file a few days before the event to ticket holders, so you'll have time to load-up a gps (there will be no signage so some kind of GPS / phone for navigation is essential)
(This is the bit where we say: We, the organisers have no responsibility for riders or bikes in any way on this event).
Good riding, good coffee, good beer...
AND you're doing your bit for charity. WIN WIN WIN!
Hope to see you at 8am for an 8.30am depart on SUNDAY 8th September 2019.

Did this last year. Was an excellent day out, would recommend.
+1 top day out and a great cause. I'm in again for this year
Thanks for the support guys.
See you on the day Brain-Stew.:>)
I can no longer make this, bump for a great ride
Are tickets transferable?
@psg1ben I'd love a ticket if it's still available? Could do with one more for a friend if anyone has one?
All sorted now, thanks folks.
I'm missing this due to an injury, didn't manage to pass the ticket on either.
Gutted to miss it, my cap from the first event is destroyed. If there are caps again and someone doesn't want theirs, I'd be interested.
No caps. I have a “HIPSTER BIKE STICKER” sticker and a “NORTH LONDON DIRT” sticker though. It was a great day for the ride—I walked this bit:
This was super fun. Great route with loads of twisty single track and fast farm paths. Joined some dots in my knowledge of London/Epping outskirts. Recommended if there’s another!
Yep, 100% reiterate this. The Diprose boys sure know how to piece together some great little by-ways.
My insta-flob from the day:
Bit naughty but anyone have a GPS trace they can share?

Could I get a copy too? :-P
Any chance of a copy as well? Looks like a route worth exploring.
Hey guys, I would love to go for it this weekend. Could I get a copy please? Thanks!
