Looks a ace, hopefully I'll have both the car and my new MTB build done by then.
-
• #3
Tidy. Hope you can make it.
-
• #4
That first vid definitely has some 'wide bar>narrow tree-gap moments'
-
• #5
I won't watch the rest, or I'll only be envious.
-
• #6
Just come down to ride then no more envy.

Tidy like, butt. :-)
(The above is a South Walian expression along the lines of "Nice one mate," not some bizarre euph.)

Herew's another vid of Clyne Woods from only a few days ago. I'm chomping at the fucking bit to get there:

That's not Wales. It's not even raining!
-
• #15
And what? There's also no sheep or discarded wellies strewn around the woods?
Racist.

There's also no sheep or discarded wellies strewn around the woods?
Edited out, obviously :-)

Confirmation bias is an insidious thing. :-D

I'm back in Wales now. Explorations of Kilvey Hill start Sunday.
Tidy, like.
-
• #19
I make no promises on attendance until a date is set, but consider me v. interested. :)
-
• #20
The dates in the event title are the ones I'm going for.
It's intended as a weekend trip. -
• #21
Oh genius, I didn't see that. I'll put it in the diary!
-
• #22
You should. I rode the trails on Kilvey Hill today, they are fucking excellent. If this was the Surrey Hills, given the quality of the trails, there would have been hundreds of middle aged men in baggies all over it (thanks @Smallfurry ).
As it stood it was just me and some other guy. -
• #23
It didn't rain today either. :-D

As of next week I will be back in the land of song, leeks, far too much fucking rugby coverage, and ugly sheep, back to the "ugly, lovely town," or "pretty shitty city."
But I feel that I would like to bring this cyber-slice of London with me to the Valleys, or, at least bring a slice of Welsh off-piste downhill to you LFGSSites.
I propose, once I settle in and have explored some, doing a weekend of guided rides at Kilvey Hill, Clyne Woods, and the Masts on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I might be able to organise some accommodation for those interested in coming over.
Those who might be intradasted please register such intradasts here.
Here's some vids of the relevant hills and their trails.
