I have an interview to be a bike instructor again

Posted on
  • Skydancer was my instructor some time around 2010 and a lot of time has passed since then, can anyone point me to any refresher materials so that I don't look like an idiot in the meeting?

I probably still have a workbook buried somewhere in an attic in the UK but I live in New Zealand now so it's a bit tricky to go looking for it.

They know it was a long time ago but I still want to look like I understand the assignment and telling them about my teachers cool SPD sandals probably won't help much.

Unrelated pics of my ugly bikes in case this is a bit off topic.

    Thanks

  • I'd suggest you read through the current Bikeability delivery materials
    https://www.bikeability.org.uk/for-instructors/delivery-guides/

I wrote these for the Bkeability Trust as an update to their earlier, less coherent materials. These are largely based on the old CTUK handbook (in your loft:)

DM me if you have any further specific questions. Good luck with your interview

  • Thank you, that's really clear and well written

  • Looks like I got accepted, so thank you @skydancer
