For Sale : Genesis Flyer 52 cm / Mavic Ellipse (can split)

Originally bought on Gumtree in January from someone who only rode it on a velodrome.

Genesis Flyer frameset 52 cm+ original cockpit + original saddle: £120

The frame is nice, some paint chips (no rust) and some discolouration to the drive side dropout where heat was used (by Full City Cycles) to remove a seized chain tensioner. It has a 1 1/8 Cane Creek headset with caged bearings and a 27.2 mm seatpost.

The cockpit has Genesis branding on the stem spacers, stem, and handlebars. Shimano drop bar lever, 42 cm bars.

The front of the original saddle is peeling away.

Mavic Ellipse wheelset: £180

It's an older set. The decals on the rim are yellow outlined, not the block white on the newer ones. The rear hub has just been serviced (by LBK) and the rear axle, rear bearings and adjusting cups are new.

Full bike: £350

Includes all the above plus:

Shimano sora front calliper brake
Beater silver 27.2 mm seatpost
Sugino 130 mm BCD cranks, 167.5 mm

The following only have about 100 miles on them:

45t Gebhardt chainring
Shimano BB
Black 17t Condor cog (no lockring)
Izumi black/gold chain
28 mm Gatorskins

No pedals. Some pictures show flat bars, levers and a different saddle I was using, those are not included.

I dont want to be that guy, but a complete bike like this is about £150 for low spec version and probably £300 for a decent spec

it is an awesome machine, but gold plating it won't increase the value on this website.

try gumtree or facebook marketplace

Thanks for the steer. I want this bike to go to someone on here because I like the community. I don't have a frame of reference for the frameset value so I've lowered the price again. I haven't seen a pair of Ellipses go for anything less than £180 on here though. I've dropped the price on the complete bike to £350.
