DogandBellCrew
As no one wanted to do the Waifs and Strays XVI ride on Christmas Day, I would like to give LFGSS members another opportunity to do a group ride over the Christmas period.
We meet at Cutty Sark Gardens at 10am on Saturday 31st December 2022 for a relatively flat group ride to Erith.
Details are here http://cyclistsinsouthwark.org.uk/node/22, but bookings cannot be taken on this website is it is only an HTTP one and not secure enough to hold people's email addresses.
mm - wot exactly is cyclistsinsouthwark? (I am aware of southwark cyclists - entirely separate) and the dogandbellcrew?
looking at the "minutes" for dogandbellcrew on that cis page are they both perhaps Mr Bee?
Interesting day to have an AGM I must say - christmas day? -

Christ man, he's been quiet for over a fortnight, there's no need to join the forum and start chasing him around the place, no one wants him back.

Does LFGSS get a say in whether the waifs and strays is amalgamated into the cyclists in Southwark ride that starts at the Southwark needle?
-

That's what the AGM is for, for raising these valid and important concerns before the committee. If you didn't go to the AGM then you are giving your tacit approval for London-wide Ride Consolidation, and for our new sponsorship and insurance deal with Shell.

All your rides are belong to us.

Knew I should have skipped Christmas with the family.

my ?? entirely reasonable - hardly need for an argument.
as there was no question/s from you, just a couple of dots, hence my valid query.
as for mr bee, since you NOW ask, quite possibly dogandbell crew - mr bee caused chaos a few years ago for several south east london london cycling campaign groups. All very odd if not disturbing. and see in BC and shell thread, this post below from dogandbellcrew:anyways, you aren't in london i think so you can probably relax - unless he's heading your way.

So tell us what you knowwell I think I've given enough info without going into all the gory sad pathetic funny mind-boggling warped details - see my last post.
plus the dogandbellcrew post I screenshotted. The official greenwich cyclists and southwark cyclists web sites are here.
http://greenwichcyclists.org.uk
and here
https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/
both london cycling campaign groups.
good people.
both nothing to do with dogandbellcrew
If you want more of the sorry tale suggest you go along on a nice ride with either of and ask one of the more longstanding members.
I even some time ago went on an excellent ride with some folks from a south west london lcc group and dogandbellcrew's weird and wonderful story had spread to there.
so, in short I'd go for a nice social ride with some nice folk.

Unfortunately no one on LFGSS actually rides bikes anymore, we're just here for the gossip

dbr = dog and bell rider.
makes you think right?

I'm getting Martyn Parkes weirdness behaviour vibes here. Is that an unfair comparison?

Can someone organise a ride that meets one of the Greenwich/Southwark rides? Then at least we can all hear the tales together rather than people turning up in dribs and drabs which I'm sure will be annoying after a while.
As long as it's made explicit that it would be a feeder ride and not an alternative ride on a day where the national ride slot has been taken I'm sure we'd be fine.

quite probably - know little of this MP but i should stress that in all of this am not aware of any whiff of material or financial advantage.
weirdness yes.
mega weirdness.
so much so that someone could maybe get very good marks, or even a book deal, for a psychological profile.
funny old world/nowt so queer as folk.
Does Erith have a royal yacht too? I must have missed it.
