Panasonic NJS Keirin Track Bike Fixed Gear.
Here for sale is one of my favourite bikes ever built. Unfortunately the time has come for someone else to enjoy this bike and for it not to sit in the shed any longer.
The frame and all components were imported from Japan in 2012 - the frame through NJS-EXPORT.COM and parts through various other means; yahoo auctions and online shops I found.
The Panasonic is 1995 frame (I believe?) and is fully NJS stamped built from Tange Prestige steel tubing - it has 2 main top tube blemishes that were on the bike when bought so I gather this bike was raced hard and retired early in the keirin series. Through my ownership I was planning to repaint the frame but didn’t wanna lose the authenticity of it, due to the age there are quite a few marks and some rust spots showing which is to be expected. It measures around about 54.5cm top tube and 54cm tall.
The drive train on this bike is full NJS stamped dura ace with NJS wheel tensioners, the handle bars and stem are NJS Nitto.
The wheels are H plus son aluminium clinchers, with narrow Dura Ace hubs due to the drop outs not being as wide as usual and wrapped in Panaracer 23mm tyres.
Also have some MKS Radius pedals with leather toe straps - these were also imported from Japan.
The only parts that aren’t authentic are the rims and seat post due to the NJS posts being too small for me!
Very rare frame and these are becoming way harder to get a hold of due to import tax and just general loss through the years.
Anymore pictures and questions please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
