I think this is the third time I’m listing it here over the years, but this time it has to go as I just got a new Ritte to replace this.
I got this frame like 10 years ago and it was freshly sprayed at the time (not an original paint job by Serotta of course) and looks great. It’s black with some green hue (very subtle in strong sun or maybe it’s just my eyes) with original decals (which the previous owner got from an ex Serotta employee apparently. Anyway, it’s been used regularly over the years, so it would need some love if you want to get it perfect. I was going to have it re-sprayed, but decided it’s time for someone else to have it and they can decide what colour it should be (or if it needs new paint job anyway). I’ve had it built with Mavic wheels which I’ve replaced with some Hunt wheels earlier this year (these are now with hunt to have the nipples replaced to brass ones as the aluminium ones are corroding and breaking after only few months of mostly dry riding). They will also have new freehub/bearings on the rear wheel.
It was originally built with Shimano 105, but I have since replaced a front and rear derailleur (not that long ago and the original rear will come as it’s the medium cage one and the one on the bike is long cage), cranks (170mm), obviously the cables and casings. So from the original build, only the shifters and brake callipers are on the bike.
Pedals, bottle cages and saddle are not included in the sale.
I don’t really want to split at this time, but I might do in the future, the prices would be:
£250 groupset (with spare 11-28 cassette and medium cage derailleur)
£250 wheels
£700 frame/forks/headset/BB
£75h handlebars/stem/seatpost
Full bike can be yours for £1100 collected from Portsmouth or I can drive for 1h to meet. Postage possible at cost.
Saddle height centre of saddle to centre of BB in the picture is about 795mm. Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. I probably forgot about something. All the scars are pictured, the one on the seat tube was me sanding down a bit of lacquer as it was starting to bubble a bit, so took the rust off and painted with nail polish (temporary fix before the respray which I mentioned above).
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot
