• Bell-ended (non)buyer on eBay means I've decided to split the bike I had up for sale here.

For sale is a large (60cm) Viner Maxima Ultralight Toray T700/T800 carbon frameset (frame 800g, full-carbon fork 350g) in a raw carbon, unbranded finish. Released in 2019 to supersede the Viner Maxima RS 4.0, the Ultralight never saw the light of day as Planet X seemingly decided to retire the marque instead. No idea why as it's a fantastic frameset and seriously lightweight, meaning you could build this up into a proper weight-weenie's wet dream. It's also barely seen any action as it's too big for me (sizing/geometry below), so I've maybe done 500 miles on it at the outside. It has never seen any rain either.

    Head tube: 195mm
    Top tube c-c: 570mm
    Seat tube c-t: 600mm
    Rear centre: 405mm
    Front centre: 610mm
    Stack: 600mm
    Reach: 450mm
    Head angle: 72 degrees
    Seat angle: 74 degrees

Will throw in the Selcof headset too. It's for caliper rather than disc brakes. Pictures of it built up here. Can post pics of just the F+F if I start selling any of the parts and therefore need to strip it down.

£300 ono. Collection from SE London preferred, but could meet somewhere in town. Would rather not go through the hassle of posting, but could be persuaded (obvs at buyer's expense).

  • Since I've sold all the parts, some pictures of just the frame and forks here.

I'll leave the GXP press-fit bottom bracket intact in case it's of any use - no point removing and ruining it if someone else can use it (plus I don't have a press-fit removal tool).
