I've only gone and mislaid the top part of the King headset?! Bearing cups are in, top part about to go on the steerer and it's walked off?! Now I've got to turn the shed upside down to find the frigger.
On a lighter note, these rims are fantastic...

Too much? The purple looks fantastic by the way

My soft Northern hands wince at the very thought of those, cylindrical grips just hurt. I require Ergons and have a pair of the fine Biokork ready to go

Found the King bit. Thank goodness as Saddleback were only showing 1 left in stock, and that was blue?!

I hate it when the exposed cable/s that run along the top tube, cause the paint to take on that dull, lightly scratched look. What's the options out there other than those ugly little rubber doughnuts?
-
• #15
no exposed cable? cable stops can be converted with something like this

I had a pair of those and perhaps I don't have ergonomic hands but they didn't last as long as I hoped because the cork bits crumbled.

Could with a more swelte front rack, as the pizza rack looks a little heavy and offsets the balance, but other than that looks really good!
Love the colour and mix with red -

This is looking great

I already had the Pizza and while I agree with you, it's staying for the now. A Wald 137 will go on top. Perhaps an M18 or the like in the future

Wheels were built by good friend Jazek at Bikesmiths in Bristol.
Velocity Cliffhanger rims, silver DT Swiss dB spokes, Surly new hubs . Gravel King SK 700 x 43 with obligatory tan walls finish them off.
The ss cog is a White Industries eno. 21t
The evergreen Cross Check has been with me a decade now. Due to an older rack that required the original , long since gone fork , I have paired it with a LHT fork now. I quite like the slightly sharper steering too.
It's getting resprayed and a certain continental chocolate brand provided the inspiration for the colour. Kinda always reminds me of holidays in France as a kid.
Gonna be ss too........
