BB shell ‘looks’ big so probs Italian but could just be the photo. Easy enough to check a bsa cup against it.

Thanks - it's defo not BSA but how do I tell if its French or Italian?

Isn’t French the same diameter as bsa?

apparently bsa is 34.8mm french 35 and italian 36 ... so yes I suppose in practice bsa and french are pretty much the same. Such small differences though and I don't have a super accurate way of measuring. do french and italian both have right-turning threads on both sides?

Yeah both are right hand thread on both cups. 68 shell definitely suggests French.

Pinarello never made frames with French threads.

Ok. This is a level of certainty that gives me confidence. I'll buy an italian bb then

Can anyone help? The frame was bought in France (for me and it was a gift so finding and asking the seller is tricky). It is a catena lusso frame so 1980s?
Do all Pinarellos of this era have italian thread bb/headset or could it be french? My doubt is because the bb shell seems to measure 68mm
Thank you
