Bars Down Hoods Up
Every one will be looking at this thread thinking its a fun idea, but little do they know, this is User Hulsroy's OBSESSION. It consumed him, day and night, its rocks him to his very core when he sees yet ANOTHER jackanape who DARES to position their bars and hoods with such casual abandon...
Argh, might have to go and check now
Am I allowed into Hulsroy heaven 😬
I think you misunderstand me.
Bars Down = rotated down not mounted lower.
Your bar rotation and hood placement looks correct. What I would question in your submitted photo is the bar tape bulk under the hoods making the transition uneven
Ah, yes. I taped over the holes in the shifter body, where these lumps under the hood are meant to fit
I removed yours. It was in the BDHU folder but it is actually fine
You know things are serious when you have a dedicated folder
I am not going to apologize for it. It ruins bikes for me daily.
Nervously checking this thread for updates
And while we're getting everyone to BDHU, cover your fucking lever clamps with those bits of tape that come in the box with rolls of bartape. Please!
I'm currently swapping to risers, just to be safe
Bad bartape is a thread of its own. That can be my 2023 project
Droopy risers or ugly pointy ones are just as bad tho
Nobody is safe
Well nice to know I’m the right side of the law but I like the thread
Just so I’m clear, how is this? I think my levers are maybe too downward but the drops are actually pretty comfy
I have some butterfly bars around here somewhere...
Can bring in the chat from @Maj thread about flat bar lever placement
Bars actually need to go up one or two degrees here and hoods up a tad.
Edit: actually maybe just rotate bars up. Hoods to bars transition looks good
Hulsroy once said my bike looked 'alright'
Best day of my life
