The role
This role is for experienced courier riders to join Gophr on a full-time basis as a delivery rider. The main responsibilities will include delivering parcels via the Gophr platform whilst also being an ambassador for the brand, using an Urban Arrow XL cargo bike supplied by Gophr.
Deliveries will be performed in an area of Central London, approximately equivalent to London travel zone 3, and focusing on areas within the London congestion charge zone, though longer journeys may be required from time to time.
Deliveries will be expected to be carried out to a high standard of accuracy, including delivering on time and in a safe and professional manner, you will also be expected to maintain the cargo bikes to keep it in working and clean condition and will be required to take the bike into service centres for repairs and maintenance.
Each shift will begin by collecting the bike from either the Gophr office in SE1, or another storage location, which could be in another part of Central London, and may change from time to time and will finish back at the same location for storage or a meeting point for a shift handover.
Within this role you will also be expected to move around various locations, speaking to new and existing users to raise awareness of the Gophr brand as well as collecting and presenting feedback to Gophr around the app functionality, client needs and expectations, and the daily challenges of a courier driver that will help Gophr to improve the services we provide to both clients and delivery drivers.
Job requirements
We are looking for an intrepid and adventurous individual who is friendly, polite and outgoing. You would have a good level of spoken and written English that will enable you to report back to Gophr with accurate and detailed information. You will have at least a year experience working as a delivery driver, either in Same-day, Multi-drop or food delivery, ideally all of the above.
You would have a reasonable technical understanding, with the ability to work well and maintain a smartphone, follow debugging and technical instructions to fix network issues and other such issues as may arise. You may be required to work on a laptop at times so a basic understanding of Microsoft windows as well as word processing and spreadsheet skills are a bonus.
