  • Update: been offered a bike by a relative so will be going through with that. Thanks for the DMs with offers everyone.

A long time ago my first grown up bike was a Boardman Sport which I picked up for £320 and got some nice sturdy touring wheels from my dad's shed. I later moved to more off-road capable bikes and sold the Boardman but now that I'm a fully fledged hardtail MTB owner I've got a hankering to get a more pure road bike for riding on the road on sunny days.

The idea is an endurance geometry drop bar road bike, with rim brakes, ideally alloy frame with carbon fork with clearances for 28-30mm 700c tyres plus mudguards and a threaded bottom bracket. I won't rule out steel frames but the idea here is a fairly swift road bike here not a brick shithouse tourer.

The ideal geometry is something comparable to the size L Boardman Sport https://geometrygeeks.bike/bike/boardman-road-sport-2017/

I'm based in Hackney and can ride/train inside of London to take a look at bikes but would prefer to not be traipsing a long way.

I'm also interested in just frame and fork (plus headset) stuff.

My payday's at the end of the month and won't be able to pay up for stuff until then but if there's something around your house that you're not riding do let me know. Would prefer to buy from a forumer than brave the high seas of the wider internet.
