All yours mate, go for it

I'm not entirely sure that Swinnerton built their own frames. I think many were outsourced to builders such as Mercian and Brian Rourke. None of which detracts from what looks a nice bike.

I was told the frame was built by George Longstaff but have no provenance

Yeah Longstaff built some Swinnerton frames, usually denoted by a frame stamp on the BB that starts RS.

SOLD.....I need to thin out the stable and this is a tad too small for me I've decided to see if there is any interest in this vintage Reynolds 531 Roy Swinnerton track iron, it's in general good condition but has been repainted (rattle can?) at some stage in its life plus there are a couple of tiny dings in the top tube however it does feature some nice touches such as wrapover seat stays, Prugnat Spearpoint lugs plus twin blade fork crown, seat tube is 53cm's and top tube is 55cm's, components are Shimano 600 cranks with 46t x 17t drive, Mavic CXP22 700c rim on rear and almost matching Ameega22 on the front, both have large flange hubs, GB stem with unknown alloy track bars, front brake is Weinmann/Saccon, Arione lookalike saddle and Miche 27.2 seat post. I am thinking £100.00 for the bike is a fair price but the downside is it would be needed to be posted as I'm based in County Down, I can arrange this at cost or you can sort out courier collection if preferred. cheers Griff
