Anna Garratt-Quinton, 22, from Bedford, was cycling just before 8am when she was struck by a petrol tanker at the junction of the A1307 with Fendon Road yesterday (Thursday, October 7).
She was a member of staff at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Flip. I hate seeing these. 22 is no age, not that anyone deserves to be killed by a motor vehicle.
Judging by where the flowers were laid and where the ghost bike has been placed, the incident took place at the south-east corner of this junction. The pictures give some indication as to how it happened, but I won't speculate.
RIP Anna Garratt-Quinton.
