RIP fellow rider.
Shit, I saw a cyclist waving people away from this section of road that day and hoped it wouldn't be this.
this is tough reading, i've not ridden Star Hill for years now, but i know this place really well.
my thoughts and condolences to his family and friends
Another article with basically the same information, probably taken from the police press release.
It's not unusual for there not to be much information about rural crashes, owing to the likely absence of witnesses, and this one may not have been witnessed. That hamrack saw a rider waving people away suggests that someone came across the scene not too long afterwards, but it may never be known what exactly happened. That the rider died less than a week later in hospital suggests a severe head injury, but there may be a follow-up article giving more details.
