Instead of bringing out a 12 speed Dura-Ace anniversary gruppo like everyone thought, Shimano released a book.
There was a lottery to be able to "win" the opportunity to buy 1 of 2000 copies of the limited edition book. I applied and have just recieved a well dodgy looking email letting me know that I am now one of 2000 people who should send 10 000 Yen for my book. I duly clicked on the link and put in my credit card details.
Have I been mugged off after years of being a Campag guy or will I actually recieve a book that will be highly sought after and increase in value exponentially?
65 quid? thats like 1/3rd of your AXS cassette, do it.
or 1.5 flat top chain.
I can't get trade price on the book but I like your logic.
Already SOLD OUT
i live by this logic, every adulting expense I avoid or postpone gets converted to bike parts
It's going up in value. I will give you £80 for your copy.
Ooooh, there's a futures market already!
Ok, I see your game. £85?
I'll wait until Elon tweets about it
I bet the pages turn better than any book Campag or Sram have made. ;)
look forward to seeing the fishing section
Any minute now it'll be worth more than a pair of 7sp era XT thumbshifters
I will pay £87
fishers love spending money on useless shit too right?
signed up for this... "won"
anyone want mine?
If @Señor_Bear pull outs, I’ll take this!
Too late bro. I've already paid for it.
I've always enjoyed the line my mate dropped:
Expensive fishing gear caught a lot more anglers than it ever did fish
Quite a few folk must have bailed on the first draw. The second chance saloon has come through for me.
“ Please be informed that your shipping registration has been completed to purchase "SHIMANO 100 WORKS". The shipment will start in September.”
A little while to wait yet.
