Uh, that yoke is super nice!
That's what we're here for.
retro mtb dads be the Porsche 911 guys of the bike world, same energy
Total wanker, is that a white industries freewheel? And wicked rack struts
^The angle of the rear canti straddle cable pisses me off but the insistence on sticking to it is strong work.
went looking for this surly in hi res i saw on the gram, didn't find it uploaded, found 2 others
That Potts is lovely. Very reasonable prices for his framesets given his titanium pedigree. He'll build you a Ti fork, too.
That Potts is lovely.
That Potts is lovely.
Fork is freaking me out. It's like its not curved enough or something so it looks like it should be straight but its not?
+1 on that Potts, spot on.
I agree about the looks - it appears it might have been done to apply the rake of the fork?
Imo that could have been done more aestethically pleasing with an offset at the fork crown and using straight legs.
I love his forks. Think they are curved that way so they are ‘straight’ enough to line up a triple, but still create clearance for the brake. Would like a pair but the man is almost impossible to get hold of + think I read somewhere he has closed his queue for builds.
Each to their own, but I think a fork with curved legs is 100 times classier than straight legs.
Curious about the front racks on these, have a link with more details?
I agree with you when it comes to all road bikes. Segmented straight legs for mtbs and wanker hybrids all the way.
I think this bends just looks a little bland and undecided.
(think he did 1 batch then decided they are too much work).
Ah ok, good point.
I think I prefer straight legs but like you say, to each their own!
Tyres cost more than everything else - extra wank points?
Current use; kid on the back, up and down the parkland walk
Expensive pin cushion tyres on your otherwise standard retro mtb is definitely a wanker move, accepted
god i need to build something like this up
Matchy-matchy Limited edition Wizard Works x Brother tool roll?
That's wanker bingo!
