(SOLD) Kevin Winter 853 56cm centre to top, 56cm top tube with beautiful welds. Kevin was 753 approved back in the day and builds lovely frames. Overall really nice condition with a very small amount of surface rust as shown in the photos. Selling as its too small for me. I am Newcastle based. Price is £230 (reduced from £275) including postage in UK.
Just trying to load up photos:-)
What's tíre clearance like?
Any photos of it built up?
Sorry no photos of it built up. It was fitted with 25mm but would take 28mm at a push. Just out at the moment and will put some wheels on so you can see the clearances
Some photos of the frame with wheels attached. Socks do make a good headset so the front geometry is slightly more laid back. The wheels have 25mm tyres fitted.
Proper lovely - those forks! - but thankfully slightly too small for me. GLWS!
Thanks bud. The forks crown is a lovely shape. The frame would work with classic or modern groupset.
What is the rear spacing?
Is there a headset included? If not, what is headset spec.?
Is BB BSA?
Do you have an idea of stack and reach dims.?
Sorry for all the questions....
It has 130 rear spacing.
I have a brand new Dura Ace 7410 1" threaded headset which I can chuck in for the price. You will need to source some bearings for it as I have used them on another build.
Its a BSA bottom bracket.
I have measured the stack and reach as accurately as I can so it should be within a millimetre or two. stack is 545mm and the reach is 390mm.
Frame is going on Fleebay at the weekend. Open to sensible offers before then.
Lovely frame Kev is a perfectionist I wish it was larger GLWS
Thanks bud. I have a 753 Joe Waugh that Kevin built in the 90's and he resprayed my Somec. The quality of his frames is fantastic.
His paintwork is amazing. I've got a 531 Hardisty built by him, pure quality
Small world. I worked at Harrison Cycles back in the late 80's
Price dropped to £230
