I saw someone on here say they had removed the guts from a sunrace m90 thimbshifter to convert to friction shifting.
Can't find the thread now.
Anyone done this? I've had a look at it but don't want to wreck it.
I also would like to do this. looks like the there's a ratchet in the top, but it's not clear how to remove it.
I removed the top Allen nut. Underneath it looks like you need to prise off the serated washer but I was t brave enough to try.
It's possible, someone on here has done it but when I messaged them they couldn't remember what they did.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
