Bikepacking Gear Clearout

Posted on
  • Clearing out a few bikepacking themed bits which I either don't use any more or have replaced. All prices INLCUDE postage as I'm based in Devon. All pictures are attached below:

    1. Alpkit Top Tube bag. Used a few times but prefer my StraightCut one which matches my frame bag. I'm a vain bugger. SOLD.

    2. Basic Shimano hydraulic brakes. Came off my eldest's full susser after he got my SLX ones when I upgraded to Hopes. Have been in the parts box a while so probably want a bleed but were working when they came off last year. SOLD.

    3. StraightCut half frame bag. Bought from Ross early last year to fit my medium Pugsley, fancy X-PAC yellow lining, two sided entry with more width on the drive side and a slim full length pocket on the NDS. Used on a few day rides and has been on the shelf since. It's also a perfect fit on my medium Pipedream ALICE too, but I leave the full frame bag bolted in on that bike so this is no longer needed. Cost some way north of £100, SOLD.

    4. PODSACS Handlebar Bag. Used on a few early trips but didn't like keeping the weight under the handlebars on singletrack, so I bought a framebag. SOLD.

    5. Ex-Army Bivi Bag. Bought to try bivvying. Sadistic enough to like it so I upgraded to a Berghaus Big Wall Bivi which I've used ever since. The eldest has used it once last summer and it's been stored since. At least 7ft long, to keep your clothes/gear at the bottom in the dry while you sleep. Was waterproof last time I used it but never been out in it on a really bad night. £25

  • What's the length of the framebag? (Number 3).

  • I'll have number 1 please. PM in a second

  • I’ll measure it in a bit and let you know @King_Saxlingham.

  • DM sent

  • @King_Saxlingham - it’s 53cm long.

  • Pm sent

  • Ah shame, bit short. Thanks though.

  • No worries - ta.

  • I'd like the Shimano brakes please

  • Hi and good morning, may I ask for some measurements of the frame bag (number 3)please? Max and min height would be really useful if you get a chance. Many thanks!

  • Have you a photo of it on the ALICE frame?

  • Yup, not in great light but attached below. It is dibs’ed at the moment.

One on the Pipedream and another of it in better light on my old Pugs.

  • Thank you. What sort of volume has it? I like the idea of a bag like that to carry all my mid ride snacks.

  • Enough for a day worth of snacks, spare layers and tools/spares - not enough for overnight gear if that’s any indication!

  • Cheers. Not sure I'm brave enough for overnight stuff, I do like the comfort of my tent - but your bivi bag has got me thinking!

Can I add an optimistic dibs for the frame bag please?

  • Happy to do a bundle price if you wanted to try it @2slices!

Dibs noted, have PM’d the first dibser.

  • Framebag, brakes and top tube bag sold. Open to offers on bar harness/bag and bivi bag.

Help me recoup an unreasonably rash purchase!
