Hello everyone. Sadly, I’m selling this beautiful surgical instrument of a bike which is a little too big for me. It’s a Motobecane Team Track, hardly used at all and stored indoors. Comes with the original factory stickers still on the frame. The original owner has made some upgrades – bullhorns, brakes/calipers, saddle/seatpost, IEA cog and then ridden it for a grand total of around 100 miles before deciding it was too hilly and he was reverting back to a geared bike.
I have then ridden it an additional whopping 150 miles (in dry summer conditions) and realised it’s a little too big and frankly a bit too nice for me. I’ve now gone back to a steel beater bike with cheaper components.
As you can see from the photos, the bike is a garage queen and as such everything is in a 9/10 condition. The paint has only got a couple of tiniest chips pictured and a hardly visible ding to the top tube as seen in one photo, from when I knocked it over inside.
It’s super responsive and light and I think it should belong to someone who will ride it more frequently than I do.
Top tube size is 58cm. Here is the geometry of the bike:

The RRP of the bike without the upgrades was $1500 (https://www.motobecane.com/track/) + shipping fees + 20% VAT for imports.
A little unsure how to price it bearing in mind it’s almost brand new and the upgrades add up to quite a bit.
I'm currently asking for £880.
Collection much preferred from London N7 although I’m open to discussing shipping options at the buyer’s expense.
...and some more, including the ding in the last picture
TIL motobecane is now a bike brand in the USA. bit like holdsworth is planetx I guess?
dibs the crank/chainring/BB and saddle if you split
Thanks Matt, noted
Price drop - now £890
