• Hello everyone. Sadly, I’m selling this beautiful surgical instrument of a bike which is a little too big for me. It’s a Motobecane Team Track, hardly used at all and stored indoors. Comes with the original factory stickers still on the frame. The original owner has made some upgrades – bullhorns, brakes/calipers, saddle/seatpost, IEA cog and then ridden it for a grand total of around 100 miles before deciding it was too hilly and he was reverting back to a geared bike.

I have then ridden it an additional whopping 150 miles (in dry summer conditions) and realised it’s a little too big and frankly a bit too nice for me. I’ve now gone back to a steel beater bike with cheaper components.

As you can see from the photos, the bike is a garage queen and as such everything is in a 9/10 condition. The paint has only got a couple of tiniest chips pictured and a hardly visible ding to the top tube as seen in one photo, from when I knocked it over inside.

It’s super responsive and light and I think it should belong to someone who will ride it more frequently than I do.

Top tube size is 58cm. Here is the geometry of the bike:

FRAME Motobecane Custom Butted and Tapered Aero Profile 6066 Aluminum. Track Dropouts, 120mm rear spacing with steel dropout inserts. Drilled for rear brake mount.
FORK Motobecane FC-770 Straight Blade Carbon Fiber, Aero-section Track fork, 1.125 threadless Aluminum steerer tube (drilled and can accept a front brake)
HEADSET Threadless Cane Creek A46ACX Angular contact bearing with Conical Aluminum spacer
CRANK / BB Shimano Dura Ace FC-7710 170mm track 5-arm, 144 BCD, 9/16 pedal thread, Shimano Dura Ace 49T Aluminum Track ring (3/32 width) / Shimano Dura Ace 7710, 68x109.5mm Octa-link Spline 22.2mm hollow pipe billet spindle
CHAIN Shimano Ultegra 6700 10 Speed
CASSETTE 14T Dura Ace Fixed Cog+ lockring / 17T EIA Fixed Steel Cog + lockring
    BRAKES SRAM rival
BRAKE LEVERS SRAM TT 900 Carbon Aero levers
WHEELS Vuelta XRP Team SuperLite TrackSpec Black Anodized Aluminum, FLIPFLOP rear, sealed precision bearings. Bladed aero spokes.
TYRES Vittoria Diamante PRO Light 700x23c with Presta valve tubes
SEAT Selle Italia SLR 135g Hollow Titanium Rails /
    SEATPOST FSA SL-K Carbon 27.2mm x 350mm
BARS Cinelli Lola 6061 T6 alloy 31.8mm clamp 380mm width + LizardSkin tape
STEM Deda Zero Elementi 60mm reach / 31.7mm clamp
    PEDALS n/a

The RRP of the bike without the upgrades was $1500 (https://www.motobecane.com/track/) + shipping fees + 20% VAT for imports.
A little unsure how to price it bearing in mind it’s almost brand new and the upgrades add up to quite a bit.

    I'm currently asking for £880.

Collection much preferred from London N7 although I’m open to discussing shipping options at the buyer’s expense.
