Bikeworks is on the lookout for ONE freelance experienced cargo-bike courier to join us on a project with Imperial College London. We need someone to help us deliver packs of Covid-19 swab tests to help a research study from Paddington to any location within the M25.
Ideally we need someone available 5 days a week Monday to Friday.
Full work days of 6hrs max, covering 50-60miles and paid £100 per day.
We will be providing an electric cargo bike. For logistical reasons, we need someone who lives in West London, ideally within a 15-minute ride from Paddington, W2.
Unfortunately we will not be able to consider applications who do not fit this criteria.
If you're interested, send your CV and tell us about your courier experience to both Lourdes: Lourdes.Villegasg@bikeworks.org.uk and Manon: Manon.Dolet@bikeworks.org.uk . Deadline to apply: Friday 13th November 6pm. We will not consider applications sent after that.
Start date: asap.
Unfortunately I live in N4 so can’t apply but as a cargo courier with 2.5 years in my legs and known for being reasonably fast, you might want to revise your timings slightly.
16km/h average in winter is gonna be a bit of a stretch once you include loading + drop times.
Bikeworks has had a number riders doing this distance daily to date though you make a good point re Winter riding
Great bunch of people to work with.
Nice one BW, have messaged a friend.
On behalf of john mack, Cargo owner, would love to, but living in n7 is out of criteria...
Im known for being reasonably fast, best average I can do in 6-8 drops an hour within zone 1 london is still under 16km/h dry summer day, including loading time.
Drop and email to Lordes and Manon (See OP)
Hi Thomas! James (Honour) here. Maybe we need batteries 🤣
Talking about e-formula.
No piss take, bike works. Me and James talking on a fast omnium rather than heavy duty cargo bike.
