WTB: alfine 26 8 speed and shifting kit

Anyone got a wheel or hub they are not using ?

I have a wheel,but not the shifter,I'll dig it out at the weekend,unless lack of shifter is an issue?
Also have a Sturmey Archer 8 Speed disc hub with straight bar shifter if that would do ?

Found the wheel, it is a Nexus(same internals as an Alfine, but non disc brake shell.
You can get a converter that turns the roller brake fitting into a disc brake which this has.
Not sure on the rim, black disc brake only.
A couple of hard to spot hairline cracks near a spoke hole, but is double wall double eyleted so many miles left in it yet.
32 stainless spokes.
£35 collected St. Pancras working hours,or I'll post at cost.

My daughter lives in Germany ,she has picked them up for me in the past for a lot less,but I not going to ask her to get one at the moment,sorry.
If the OP doesn't take the wheel,I'll build the hub into a new rim for rim brakes and use it on an old mountain bike.
I'll let you have the converter for a lot less than £48😀,
They must be available elsewhere,it is what all the Arkose hub geared bikes use that I have seen.

Sounds perfect . 26 inch rim I assume . Pick up should be fine and get me out :) will update later as shopping for my folks now..

I've got a Nexus 8 speed twist shifter if you're interested.

@Jeromeo I’ve got a pair of shimano 3x8 shifters for flat bars. Not sure of the series, will check. Let me know if you’re interested!
