Had a nice ride on a gravel loop today, finished with some coffee. I really enjoyed the fact I took my camera, made my stop by and take pictures, such a good feeling. I guess camera is going to many bike trips from now on.
Also, I finally managed to pickup my dynamo wheel assembled, I guess it's the last ride before this bike get's dynamo sorted.
On the other news, my Marin is dissasembled, stuck stem got loose when received a crazy amount of good time with oils and hair dryer. Headset is about to receive the same deal.
I want to keep the stem, red bits are growing on me, maybe tan wall tyres, velox cotton tape somewhere on chainstay or handlebars. Or both. To compensate the incredible length of stem, I am planning to put a albatross bars, combined with DA bar end shifters I have in bin.
Dang. I have 3/4 of those in permanent desktop wallpaper rotation.
Albatross with a 110mm stem makes for really snappe steering IME
haha, such a good coincidence
hmm, haven't gave so much thought to steering, lets have a look on a test, since I have bars already
For the record I really like how the steering feels with albatross bars on a long stem.
Ah good, I thought opposite, that gives hope 😂
It should. I've ridden soooooo many kilometers with that setup.
I've had it on multiple bikes and right now it sits in the parts bin waiting to be built up something like this .
Not a set of albatross, but a build I also find very inspiring
Yeah this is really nice!
Bottom left is my fave. Any more details?!
Yes, more here
Those fillet brazed brake levers an QRs? Oof
I know! Lovely lovely stuff!
I love this bike
