Looking for a small bike for a small lady, hybrid of some sorts. Gears, mudguard friendly and the like.
Budget up to £500-600 if she's into it
You're describing a brand new 2021 Specialized Sirrus 2.0
Budget is on point, your friend can also save money via a Cycle2Work type of scheme.
At a better price point, you also have the £329 "Frappe FSS 500" running the reliable 8 speed Shimano Claris:
Orbea Carpe 40 is another alternative. Lighter than the Sirrus because of its aluminium fork (vs steel on the Sirrus). You get a lot of bike for your buck with Orbea, and they’re a co-op, big on ethics etc.
