I'm on the lookout for a sub £500 road bike for commuting in the city, I used to ride a single speed but would be open to gears to allow for longer trips. Any advice / listings would be greatly appreciated.
Got a couple of Italian roadies both 54cm campagnolo avanti groupsets 8 speed
Let me know if any float your boat ;)
I've got this. Size 52 but 53.5 cm virtual tt.
Recently winterised with new chain, chainrings, cassette, bb, brake pads and inner cables. Brand new rack and 2x waterproof panniers in good condition with shoulder straps unused inside. Tubeless rims and tyres. Perfect commuter and if you change tyres you could even ride it on gravel if that ever catches on 😉 I'm asking £600 for it though as the freshen up cost me £200 also I'm in Brighton so would either need collecting or i can post at cost. Sorry if its a bit over intended budget
Beautiful bikes but keen for something a bit more modern! Thanks though
@Retro_bastard this is exactly the kind of thing I'm after but think its probably out of my price range. Want to feel comfortable locking the bike up outside if I'm working in the day or going out in the evening. Looks ideal for someone else though!
Thanks i know what you mean. Trying for find a bike thats decent and you actually enjoy riding but no one else wants to steal is always a tricky one especially in London.
